Amman says no victims
among citizens in Hajj hostel collapse
MECCA, January 6 (Petra) - The Saudi interior ministry said 20 people were
killed and 59 were injured in the collapse of Lulu'at Al Khair, a multipurpose
building that housed a number of shops and restaurants and was rented out as a
hostel during pilgrimages. It was situated just 60 meters from the Grand Mosque,
a focal point of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, officials said no Jordanian pilgrims were among the victims,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
