National council for culture to be formed
AMMAN (Petra) — Minister of Culture and Government Spokesperson Asma Khader announced on Thursday that the government would form a national council for culture in addition to cultural councils in the Kingdom's governorates. During a meeting with Ministry of Culture and Jordan Information Centre staff at the Royal Cultural Centre, Khader presented a plan to develop the media and culture sectors, saying the government would implement Royal directives and give these two sectors priority in accordance with sustainable and comprehensive development. Khader said a special board of directors would be independently formed soon for the press and publication commission after special laws related to press were endorsed.
