King Receives Phone Call from President Bush

Amman, Jan. 12 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II stressed the importance of the US Administration to intensify its efforts to guarantee re-launching the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis.

King Abdullah said, during a phone call he received from US President George W. Bush today, that any efforts that will be exerted within this frame must comply to the international legitimacy resolutions and with the two-state solution in addition to the Arab peace initiative.

On the other hand, President Bush outlined King Abdullah on the efforts exerted by the US to revive negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis, pointing to the tour of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in the region next week.

President Bush also outlined the new US strategy, which was recently announced in Iraq.

In this regard, King Abdullah stressed the importance of efforts of enhancing security and stability in Iraq to include all spectra of the Iraqi society.
