Queen Rania to address Jeddah Economic Forum next week

AMMAN (JT) — Her Majesty Queen Rania will be taking part in the Jeddah Economic Forum to be held during the period from Jan. 17 - 19 under the theme “Achieving Accelerated Growth.”

With Jordan and the region as a whole undergoing a comprehensive economic development process, a rapid progress advanced by both the private and public sectors aims to achieve better living standard for all. Her Majesty's participation at this international forum complements these efforts and introduces new horizons to the development process.

Queen Rania will be addressing the regional session “Asia and the Middle East” to be held at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel on Sunday Jan. 18, 2004. The session taps into regional economic issues where various success stories will be discussed from the Middle East and Asia.

These examples reflect the rapid economic growth attained which led to solving several long-standing economic problems in these countries.

Queen Rania will be participating at the forum along with several world leaders and decision makers in addition to regional and international businesspeople, government officials, and people from the academia targeting economic issues from three main perspectives, namely local, regional, and international.
