AMMAN (Petra) — The World Health Organisation (WHO) has chosen the Kingdom to launch a pilot project on countries' preparedness to face environmental, biological or chemical emergencies, according to Health Minister Saeed Darwazeh. Speaking after a meeting with a visiting WHO team, the minister said the organisation has expressed readiness to train cadres to qualify for the implementation of the project. He said the project aims at pooling the efforts of the ministries of interior, environment, and public works, as well as the civil defence and health authorities.
