Jordan displays products at
Dubai's Global Village
DUBAI, January 24 (Petra) - The Jordanian wing at the Global Village, currently
held at the 2005 Dubai Shopping Festival, is displaying aspects of the country's
archaeology and history as well as the main features of Amman, Jerash, Petra and
Madaba. Participating local companies at the international event offer products
that vary from traditional Jordanian handicrafts and costumes to Dead Sea
products.
Salwa Khatib, a representative of a Jordanian firm specialized in Dead Sea products, said the demand for such products is high. The products, mainly cosmetics and therapeutic mineral salts, have gained consumers' trust for their positive effects, Khatib added. The wing is sponsored by the Jordanian Social Club in Dubai. Over 80 countries are taking part in the event.
