King to address Munich meeting
AMMAN (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah left Saturday for Germany on a one-day visit to deliver a speech at the 40th Munich Conference on Security Policies, which started Thursday.The King is expected to address 250 key world figures on the future of the Middle East, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
King Abdullah will present the audience with the Arab viewpoint on regional issues, particularly the Palestinian and Iraqi situations. He will also reiterate Islam's principles of tolerance and respect of pluralism, the agency said.
The King was accompanied by General Saad Kheir, the King's adviser on security issues, director of the General Intelligence Department and president of the National Security Council, and Royal Court Minister Samir Rifai.
