Amman to host waste management workshop
AMMAN (Petra) — Amman will host a regional workshop on managing domestic solid waste and protecting the environment which will be organised by the World Bank through European Union funding, according to Ministry of Environment's Secretary General Yusef Shuraiqi. Returning to Amman after attending meetings in Algeria to discuss the question of building national potentials for disposing of solid waste, Shuraiqi said civil society institutions as well as public organisations will be involved in the workshop to benefit from an exchange of expertise and information related to solid waste disposal techniques. No final date has yet been set for the meeting.
