King returns from US
AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday returned after a several-day visit
to the US, where he held talks with President George W. Bush, senior
administration officials and congressmen on Mideast issues and bilateral ties.
In his talks, King Abdullah reiterated that the international community,
including the US, should deal with the new realities created by the Hamas
victory in the Palestinian elections and continue their support for the
Palestinians. The King also condemned cartoons vilifying the Prophet Mohammad
and at the same time rejected the violent response to the drawings. In his trip,
the King addressed the University of Mississippi's Trent Lott Leadership
Institute in Oxford, Mississippi, and discussed with senior officials to boost
