FM arrives in Moscow
In another development, Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher arrived Tuesday in Moscow on a two-day visit to hold talks with his counterpart Igor Ivanov on the Palestinian and Iraqi issues, Petra reported. Muasher will discuss with Russian officials Israel's controversial barrier and legal arguments submitted to the International Court of Justice against the wall, Petra said. The court is expected to open hearings on Feb. 23. Jordan has condemned the 700km separation barrier, which cuts deep into the West Bank, because it threatens the national security and a viable Palestinian state. Muasher's trip to Russia is part of a tour that will also take him to Germany and Romania.
