Jordan strongly condemns
assassination of Hariri
His Majesty King Abdullah II strongly condemned on Monday the assassination of
Former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri.
In a telephone call with Lebanese President Emil Lahoud, the King expressed his
deep sorrow and condolences over
assassinating Hariri, who contributed to rebuilding Lebanon and its economy. The
King also stressed Jordan's support to Lebanon at this hard circumstances.
Government Spokesperson Asma Khader affirmed Jordan's condemnation of
assassinating politicians. " This terrorist act targets the security of Lebanon
and the stability in the region," Khader added. She also expressed the Jordanian
government's heart-felt condolences to the Lebanese leadership and the families
of the victims.
