King Meets Palestinian President

Abbas said in a statement to Jordan News Agency following his talks with the King, that the meeting touched on the current situation in the region.

He expressed his full conviction in the Mecca deal, adding it reflects keenness on the interest of Palestinians.

“We explained to the Israelis that the deal came to defend the unity of the Palestinians and their national interests,” Abbas said.

Commenting on his meeting with the U.S. secretary of state and the Israeli prime minister, he said it was "difficult and tensed", adding it will be followed by other meetings.
