'National agenda key'
His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday reiterated the importance of setting a
national agenda to build modern Jordan and fulfil the aspirations of citizens
for a better future.
Chairing the first meeting of the 26-member Steering Committee for the National
Agenda at the Royal Court, King Abdullah said facing socio-economic challenges
requires defining roles and responsibilities as well as assessing the
development process.
During the meeting, attended by Royal Court Minister Samir Rifai, King Abdullah
was briefed by the committee members on their ideas and visions.
The panel groups a former prime minister, incumbent and former ministers,
politicians, academicians and businesspeople.
