Kidnapped Jordanian in Iraq
released
AMMAN (Agencies) — A Jordanian driver and two Indonesian journalists kidnapped
in Iraq last week arrived here yesterday after their captors released them.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rajab Sukayri said Abu Fadleh, reporter Meutya
Hafid and cameraman Budiyanto — both working for the Indonesian cable network
Metro TV — entered Jordan yesterday after being held up overnight at the border,
which was closed.
The three were abducted on February 15 as they drove from Jordan to Baghdad.
Their kidnappers freed them Monday in Ramadi, a rebel hot spot west of the Iraqi
capital in the so-called Sunni Triangle.
