Muasher leaves for Washington
AMMAN (Petra) — Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher left for Washington yesterday on an official visit, during which he is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Colin Powell and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice among other senior officials. Muasher will convey Jordan's position on the latest developments in the region, especially the situation in Iraq and Palestine. Talks will also cover issues on democratic reform, especially the Greater Middle East Initiative. The foreign minister will give a lecture in the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars in Washington, DC.
