Khatib holds talks with
UN official, EIB vice president
Foreign Minister Abdul Ilah Khatib on Thursday reviewed the latest developments
in the Palestinian territories with UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East
Peace Process Alvaro de Soto. During the meeting, De Soto briefed Khatib on
efforts exerted by UN agencies to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians
and improve their living conditions. Khatib stressed the Kingdom's support for
UN efforts to help the Palestinians and the Israelis arrive at a peace
settlement. Also on Thursday, Khatib met with European Investment Bank Vice
President Philippe de Fontaine Vive Curtaz and expressed the Kingdom's interest
in promoting cooperation.
