US diplomat's murderers
hanged
Authorities on Saturday hanged a Libyan and a Jordanian convicted of
carrying out terrorist acts that led to the 2002 murder of a US diplomat in
Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Salem Saad Salem Ben Suweid and
Yasser Fathi Ibrahim Freihat, sentenced to death in 2004 over the killing of
USAID official Laurence Foley, were hanged at the Swaqa Correctional and
Rehabilitation Centre — JT
