Jordanian delegation returns home after taking part in Iraq security conference

Jordanian delegation to the meeting of Iraq’s neighbors returned home on Sunday.

Jordan, along Security Council permanent members, representatives of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), and Arab League and the UN took part in the meeting of Iraq’s neighbors.

In his speech before the conferees, Head of Jordanian delegation Khaldoun Al Talhouni expressed Jordan’s commitment to helping Iraqi efforts to achieve security, peace and stability in the country.

He called on all parties to work together to preserve Iraq's unity and stressed the necessity to support all efforts aim to succeed the political process, which should embrace all segments of Iraqi people to ensure success national reconciliation efforts away from any sectarian consideration.

Talhouni also underlined the necessity to foil plans of those attempting to nurture sectarian and ethnic conflicts in the country.

Meanwhile, he urged the international community to help find a just solution for the Palestinian issue, the core conflict in the Middle East.
