envoys
Foreign Minister Hani Mulki on Sunday briefed heads of Arab and foreign
diplomatic missions on the Kingdom's stand on main issues in the region,
particularly the Arab-Israeli conflict, UN Security Council Resolution 1559 and
reforms. Mulki underlined the Kingdom's support for a just and sustainable peace
based on the roadmap, the Arab peace initiative, and all parties' commitment to
the implementation of international laws.
On Security Council Resolution 1559, Mulki welcomed the steps Syria took to
withdraw from Lebanon, saying all UN resolutions are binding. He also stressed
the importance of international support for Iraq in its efforts to achieve
democracy and stability.
