Daoudiyeh meets USAID director
AMMAN, March 22 (Petra) - Cooperation between Jordan and USAID regarding the Kingdom's political development topped the agenda of a meeting yesterday between Minister of Political Development and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Mohammad Daoudiyeh and USAID Director Anne Aarnes.
The minister briefed the US official on Jordan's plans and strategies designed to improve the judicial, education, media, women and youth sectors. He said the ministry has opened communication channels with various sectors and civil society institutions to crystallize a national strategy based on moderation and respect for human rights.
Aarnes commended Jordan's accomplishments in democracy and human rights, emphasizing the agency's readiness to cooperate with the ministry to serve political development purposes in the Kingdom.
