AMMAN (Petra) — Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Thursday met with a US congressional delegation currently visiting the Kingdom. During the meeting, the Monarch said that the country will continue its drive to boost the economy despite the continuous rise in fuel prices at the international level, which adversely affects the Kingdom's socio-economic plans. The King also reviewed the latest political developments in the Palestinian territories. He confirmed that the coming weeks will see developments with the formation of the new Palestinian government by Hamas, and following Israeli elections. Regarding Iraq, the King called on the international community to support efforts for peace and stability.
