Jordan Takes Part The
National Gathering for Peace
Amman, April 4 (Petra)--Jordan will take part in activities of "The National
Gathering for Peace 2005", which is organized by the Argentinean foreign
ministry in Buenos Aires later this month.
Participants will discuss during the three-day meeting a number of issues
related to enhancing scopes of cooperation and understanding among followers of
religions, especially with regard to joint dialogue, the relationship among
religions and its role in promoting peace and economic prosperity.
The King's Advisor for Islamic Affairs Chief Justice Sheikh Izzeddine Al Khatib
Al Tamimi, who will lead the Jordanian delegation to the event, said that he
will present a working paper in the conference on Islam and the family, in which
he will shed light on the role of the individual and the family in Islam.
