Jordan ranks 7th among
13 other Arab states covered by Global Competitiveness Report
Results of the 2007 Global Competitiveness Report ranked Jordan seventh among 13
other Arab countries covered by the report. The results which were revealed
during the World Economic Forum roundtable meeting in Doha this week also ranked
Jordan 13th among 40 countries that achieved “moderate development”. The 129
countries covered by the report were divided into three categories according to
the development scale. The Kingdom’s ranking reflects the transparency of the
country’s government institutions and its economy-propelling legislation.
