New e-government strategy to be ready next month
AMMAN (JT) — Minister of Information and Communications Technology Omar Kurdi said the ministry reviewed the e-government strategy, which did not reach the desired levels, and would forward a new strategy to the Cabinet next month. Kurdi said the performance of the ICT sector was affected by the high turnover of employees, who did not remain in their jobs for more than three years because of the high demand for their services inside and outside the country. At a press conference this week, the minister said ICT sector revenues exceed 10 per cent of the gross domestic product.
