Badran highlights incentives, investment climate to US economic delegation

AMMAN (Petra) — Jordan Investment Board (JIB) Executive Director Reem Badran on Wednesday briefed a US economic delegation on incentives offered to investors in Jordan. She told the delegation, representing 15 companies in the American state of Virginia, that under Jordanian economic laws foreign investors can own 100 per cent of investment projects, enjoy freedom to transfer any amounts of earned income. Badran also spoke about Jordan's Free Trade Agreements with the US, its membership of the World Trade Organisastion, its free trade agreement with Arab states and the Qualified Industrial Zones whose products have free access to US markets. Delegation members expressed interest in investing in Jordan's information technology sector.
