Jordanian-Iraqi media
forum opens today
A Jordanian-Iraqi media forum, organised by the Centre for Defending Freedom of
Journalists (CDFJ) on strategic partnership and relations, opens today. The
four-day event, with the participation of media professionals from Iraq and
Jordan, seeks to strengthen relations between participants and highlight their
role in building bridges of understanding and trust between the people of both
countries. The Iraqi delegation, participating in the event, comprised directors
and chief editors of Iraqi TV stations and newspapers. The delegation is
scheduled to meet with senior officials including Prime Minister Adnan Badran,
Royal Court Minister Marwan Muasher, Lower House Speaker Abdul Hadi Majali,
Interior Minister Awni Yarvas, Minister of Industry and Trade Sharif Zu'bi and
Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Abdul Salam Abbadi.
