Jordan To Take Part in
Conference of Developing Education
Cairo, April 16 (Petra)--Jordan takes part in meetings of the 5th Arab
Conference on Teaching, which started at the Arab League in Cairo on Saturday.
Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Musa affirmed in an opening speech that
was delivered on his behalf by Assistant Arab League Secretary General for
Social Affairs, Nancy Bakir, the importance of education for human being.
"The fate of peoples depend the extent of the success of their educational
systems and the efficiency of their educational policies, he said, adding that
education is the basic pillar for providing people with the ability to predict
the future and face continuous change in this era.
The two-day conference, entitled "Towards Developing an Education System in the
Arab World," will discuss a host of issues related to improving the education
system, developing human cadres and modernizing school curricula in the Arab
world.
