Jordan strongly condemns assasination of Rantisi
AMMAN, April 18 - Jordan on Saturday strongly
condemned Israel's assassination of Hamas leader Abdelaziz Rantissi. His Majesty
King Abdullah has condemned the assassination of Rantisi in a statement to Petra
from Los Angeles. The King said this crime will only breed more violence and
undermine the peace process, which Jordan is striving to get back on its feet.
This act will only lead to "more rage, violence and bloodshed in the region,”
Minister of State and Government Spokesperson Asma Khader told The Jordan Times.
Khader said Jordan rejects and condemns Israel's policy of military escalation
and targeted killings.
