Regent discusses regional issues with US senators

AMMAN (Petra) — HRH Prince Feisal, the Regent, on Tuesday met with US senators Thud Cochran (R- Mississippi), Christopher J. Dodd (D- Connecticut) and Judd Cregg (D- New Hampshire). During the meeting, attended by US Ambassador to Jordan David Hale, the two sides examined ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. They also reviewed the latest regional developments with Prince Feisal highlighting His Majesty King Abdullah's efforts to achieve peace in the region. Also on Tuesday, Prince Feisal visited the Ministry of Transport. Transport Minister Saud Nseirat briefed the Prince on progress on the expansion of Queen Alia International Airport. The Regent was also briefed on a plan to set up a shareholding transport company to back up the public transport sector. Prince Feisal stressed the importance of completing projects on time and intensifying studies to upgrade the transport sector.
