Jubilee School hosts
American students
Ten students and two teachers from the Westside High School in Houston, Texas
participated in a week-long exchange programme at the Jubilee School. The
Brilliant Youth Leadership Programme, which encourages children to gain an
appreciation of other cultures and peoples, is part of the Brilliant Lecture
Series — Conversations with Brilliance, a Houston-based non-profit organisation
dedicated to inspiring young people through exposure to leaders and icons of
society. The students, who were hosted by the Jubilee School, toured the
Parliament building, the Baptism Site, Jerash, Petra and Aqaba. Founding
director of the Brilliant Lectures Series, Scott Brogan, also joined the
students on the trip. During the week, he and Jubilee School Director Abla
Zuraykat have been making plans for students from Jordan to travel to Texas,
where they will study and learn more of the American educational system and
culture.
