Queen receives Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) delegation
Her Majesty Queen Rania with members of a Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) delegation, currently on tour of the region. At a meeting on Tuesday with the delegation, Queen Rania emphasised the need for the Arab American community to play a proactive role in creating links between the Arab world and the US, promote cross-cultural dialogue and eliminate existing misconceptions. The Queen had addressed the ADC annual gathering last October, highlighting ways that could widen the bridge of collaboration between the US and Jordan like the Free Trade Agreement, academic exchanges and internship programmes as well as professional women's networks and interfaith dialogue. One of the largest grassroots advocates of Arab American civil rights, the ADC is at the forefront of combating defamation and negative stereotyping of Arab Americans and promoting a balanced US Middle East policy.
