40 Iraqi engineers,
technicians begin training course
AMMAN (Petra) — A group of 40 Iraqi engineers and technicians employed by the
Iraqi electricity company on Tuesday began an advanced technical training course
in Amman organised by the National Electric Power Company. The course, which is
partly financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), will run
until July 31. It includes theoretical and practical work and field trips to a
number of the company's workshops. Jordan is covering 15 per cent of the
training cost while JICA is providing the rest.
