WEF Session for Discussing Educational Issues in the Arab World
Dead Sea, May 17(Petra)-- Arab and foreign
experts outlined, during a session that was held on the sidelines of the WEF on
Monday, the major challenges facing the educational systems.
Minister of Education, Khaled Touqan, the Minister of Higher Education and
Scientific Research ,Essam Za'balawi, the Omani Minister of Higher Education
along with experts from international educational agencies participated in the
closed session.
Touqan told Jordan News Agency that the session highlighted the importance of
arming students with modern skills of computer and communication as well as
helping them interact with the labor market demands.
''The session raised three major questions on the challenges facing means to
develop education in the Arab World, finding coordination mechanisms to exchange
expertise and how can we enable the private sector to play a key role in
developing education,'' Touqan added.
