King, Mubarak discuss Rafah
situation as government strongly condemns `the massacres'
AMMAN, May 19 (JT) - His Majesty King Abdullah and Egyptian President Hosni
Mubarak on Tuesday discussed in a telephone conversation the latest developments
in the Palestinian territories as Israel continued its violations in Gaza and
Rafah, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The government yesterday strongly condemned "the massacres against the
Palestinian people in violation of all international norms, values and laws."
Minister of State and Government Spokesperson Asma Khader said such actions
"deteriorate the situation and jeopardize chances to achieve a just peace,"
according to Petra. She demanded the international community take all necessary
measures to end the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, especially in
Rafah.
