US is Jordan's Largest Trade Partner

Amman, May 20 (Petra)-- The US was Jordan's largest trade partner in terms of exports during the first quarter of 2004, with a percentage of 28.8. The value of Jordan's exports to the US rose to JD147.6 million compared to JD89.7 million for the same period of last year.

According to the monthly bulletin of Ministry of Trade and Industry, Iraq came second with 18.2 percent with a total imports of JD93 million. Syria came third with 6.4 percent to reach JD 33 million followed by Saudi Arabia, India, Switzerland, Algeria, Israel, UAE, Lebanon, China, Othyoubia, Indonesia, Kuwait and Kenya.
