Arab Human Rights
Charter endorsed
AMMAN (Petra) — A Royal Decree issued on Wednesday endorsed the Arab Human
Rights Charter as established by the Arab League and approved by the Council of
Ministers last March. The charter seeks to reaffirm respect of human rights as
basic and sublime in nature. It provides for the right of humans to determine
their destiny, to have control over their wealth and resources, to have the
right to live in peace and dignity under the umbrella of national sovereignty
and territorial integrity, and to have the right to resist foreign occupation.
