Media workshop focuses on coverage of municipal elections
AMMAN (JT) — A total of 27 media representatives convened on Tuesday for a workshop on media coverage of the upcoming municipal elections. The four-day workshop, run by the Centre for Defending the Freedom of Journalists in cooperation with the International Research and Exchanges Board, includes topics such as international elections standards, media techniques in covering elections and the dangers elections pose to the media. Study cases from Jordan and Egypt will be highlighted during the event. The municipal elections will take place on July 17.
