Seminar highlights `life
strategies' for women
AMMAN (JT) — As part of the newly launched initiative “Increasing
Competitiveness for Jordanian Business Women,” JUSBP — a program managed by IESC
and funded by USAID, hosted a one-day seminar on “life strategies” by
international consultant Nikki de Carteret. The seminar brought together twenty
women from all industries and different life experiences in a forum that
provided the opportunity to share goals, challenges and business successes.
“Life strategies” empowered the attendees with nonconventional tools and solutions for today's competitive and fluctuating business environment. The seminar was specifically designed to help businesswomen learn how to create and design core strategies and skills to respond to current and future challenges by formulating a vision, mission and value statement.
Great emphasis was also placed on the importance of delegating tasks, prioritizing demands and how a positive mental outlook helps in being a positive agent of change, continuity and growth. “If you want to talk about increasing competitiveness, then you must focus on harnessing the values of passion, persistence, vision and action... seminars such as this help facilitate that,” stated, business owner and JUSBP client Meisa Batayneh of Med Design.
