1.72 million citizens
register for municipal elections
Minister of Municipal Affairs Nader Thuheirat on Friday said more than 1.72
million citizens had so far registered for the forthcoming municipal elections,
the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Last Monday, the government extended
registration for another 10 days to help more voters cast their ballots.
Registration centres around the Kingdom are open from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
