Shaath briefs Muasher on developments
AMMAN (JT) — Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher was briefed on Monday by his Palestinian counterpart Nabil Shaath on the latest developments in the occupied territories.
At a meeting here, Shaath also acquainted Muasher
on talks Palestinians and Israelis held with US, Egyptian and EU officials, the
Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Muasher described such talks as “extremely important.”
The Israelis and Palestinians have accepted an Egyptian plan for a ceasefire, a
resumption of peace talks and a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon and his Palestinian counterpart Ahmed Qureia, the Egyptian news agency
said yesterday.
The top diplomat said the Israeli army's incursions into Rafah “violated all
political and human standards.”
