Khazaaleh holds
talks with Iraqi counterpart
AMMAN (Petra) — Jordan and Iraq agreed on Thursday to arrange for an Iraqi
technical delegation to visit the Kingdom to discuss pending issues between the
two countries, come up with solutions and propose projects to enhance economic
ties. During a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart Falah Al Soudani, Minister of
Industry and Trade Salem Khazaaleh said the visit would be in June. He added
that talks with Soudani focused on the means to develop ties between the two
countries and remove obstacles that block mutual trade. The two sides underlined
the need to activate existing agreements. They also discussed financial claims
of some Jordanian companies that exported goods to Iraq before and after 1992.
