Judeh reiterates Jordan's calls for diplomatic, peaceful solution

Government Spokesperson Nasser Judeh on Thursday reiterated the Kingdom's calls to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue through diplomatic and peaceful means.

“The Jordanian position is crystal clear and was stressed on more than one occasion by His Majesty King Abdullah,” Judeh was quoted by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Responding to a question by Petra on Washington's offer to Tehran, Judeh said “the Jordanian government thinks the US initiative is within the framework” of the Kingdom's position. He hoped that the US proposal would be dealt with “positively in order to avert escalation and spare the region possible dangerous consequences.”
