King leaves for summit
AMMAN (JT) — His Majesty King Abdullah left yesterday for the US to take part in
the G-8 summit, to begin today at the Sea Island resort off Georgia's coast.
King Abdullah, expected to meet President George W. Bush next week, will present the leaders of the most industrialised nations with his vision on Middle East issues to help achieve socio-economic development aspired by the peoples of the region, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said. The King will focus on the Palestinian problem as the central issue in the region.
