Jordan Became a Model Example
in the Islamic-Christian Interfaith Coexistence
Bonn, June 12 (Petra) -- Jordanian Ambassador in Germany Dr. Saleh Irsheidat affirmed the important role of the Jordanian government, under the leadership of His Majesty king Abdullah II, in modernizing, development and progress in Jordan to provide dignified life for the Jordanian people. Irsheidat's remarks came in a speech at the Jordanian embassy in Berlin as he received a delegation representing Christian religious men from Offenheim region north of Bavaria and acknowledged them on political, cultural and religious situation in Jordan.
He also pointed to the difficulties Jordan faces due to the political hot issues which surround it and to the Jordanian moderate role in the various political issues in the region . He also pointed to the efforts His Majesty exerted and still exerts to achieve peace and security in order to support the economic development and provide a better life in the whole region.
The ambassador added that Jordan has become a model example in the Islamic-Christian coexistence affirming the individual, religious and political freedom in Jordan.
Irsheidat talked about the Jordanian women role in the various political, educational and cultural fields and the educational ,health and social security systems in Jordan.
At the end of the meeting, Irsheidat presented a detailed view on the Jordanian Islamic and Christian religious sites and answered the attendant's questions.
