Salem holds talks with International Labour Organisation (ILO) director
Minister of Labour Bassem Salem on Thursday met with International Labour Organisation (ILO) Director General Juan Somavia to discuss joint projects implemented by ILO in the Kingdom. Both sides agreed on accelerating the implementation of the Decent Work Programme in the Kingdom. Salem, who is taking part in the International Labour Conference in Geneva, also met with the director of social dialogue at the ILO, Johanna Walgrave, who was briefed on the stages of the establishment of the Jordanian Economic and Social Council. The labour minister also held talks with US Trade Representative for Labour Lewis Karesh on the sidelines of meeting.
