King reiterates support for Saudi Arabia
AMMAN (JT) — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday
reiterated his support for the Saudi fight against terrorism.
In a telephone call, the King told Crown Prince Abdullah that Jordan backs all
Saudi efforts to help eliminate terror, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Monarch stressed that the terrorist attacks, whose victims were mostly
innocent civilians, have greatly harmed Muslims and their causes, according to
Petra.
King Abdullah was quoted by the Jordan Radio and CNN on Saturday as saying that
he was shocked by the beheading of American hostage Paul Johnson, urging the
international community to unite against terrorism.
The King was among the first Arab leaders to condemn the killing of Johnson by
his captors on Friday.
