King Receives Invitation from Egyptian President to Attend Four-Way Summit
His Majesty King Abdullah II received an invitation from Egyptian President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak to attend a four-way
summit that would be held in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh next Monday.
The summit, which will be held in the presence of President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, will discuss means of reinvigorating the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis.
A Royal Court source said the King's participation in the summit comes as part of Jordan's keenness to support efforts
exerted to revive the peace process, end the Israeli occupation and launch a comprehensive peace process that leads to the
establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the Palestinians lands.
Through his participation, the sources added, King Abdullah will back the Palestinian position and rally support for the
Palestinians to enable them to regain their legitimate rights.
