Judeh urges Arabs to unite on regional issues
Government Spokesperson Nasser Judeh has called on the Arab world to unify its stand to confront all attempts at undermining the Palestinian peoples’ right to an independent and sovereign state. Speaking at the 40th ordinary meeting of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which began on Wednesday in Cairo, Judeh stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian Authority and President Mahmoud Abbas’ efforts to control the deteriorating situation in Gaza. Judeh also stressed Jordan’s support for the efforts of the Lebanese government to enhance the sovereignty of the country. In relation to the situation in Iraq, he said the Arab media has a responsibility to play in urging the different parties to unite and preserve the country’s unity and independence.
