PM to conclude meetings with MPs Sunday
AMMAN (Petra) — Prime Minister Adnan Badran on Thursday met separately with Watan, National Front, Islamic Action Front (IAF) and Shaab MPs. During the meetings, Badran discussed with the deputies the government's programmes and plans, to be included in its policy statement that will be presented to the House during next month's extraordinary session.
IAF Deputy Ali Abul Sukkar told The Jordan Times that Badran said a Cabinet reshuffle is expected next week. Abul Sukkar gave no details. Deputy Hatem Sarayreh, head of Watan, meanwhile, quoted Badran as saying that the government might split the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research into two separate bodies. The premier is to meet Sunday New Reformists and independent MPs, concluding his meetings with lawmakers.
