Procedures for Palestinian
visitors eased
AMMAN (Petra) — The Ministry of the Interior on Tuesday announced regulations
concerning Palestinians living in the West Bank who wish to visit their
relatives and friends in Jordan during the summer holidays. Palestinians over 60
years of age, the sick, university students and injured Palestinians from the
ongoing Intifada are not required to obtain ministry approval in the form of a
visit permit. Since the beginning of last month, the ministry has issued 30,000
visit permits for Palestinians wishing to come to Jordan.
